Pros good fuel economy, no rattles, fun to drive
Cons nothing to write about
Summary we only had this cute ute for about a month
and have no regrets. This 2.8 liter diesel
unfortunately is no longer available in 07.
Because according to DC this engine can not be cleaned up. However this engine will still be sold in Europe in Jeeps and other
vehicles. The engine is made by VM Motori in Italy and is a true tough diesel engine.
Once the turbo kicks in the pick-up comes
close to a V8 performance! You have plenty of torque and horsepower. There are no rattles in this truck. It is very easy to drive. Since it is much heavier then the V6 gaser, it also likes to hug the road much better. Road bumps are absorbed without any
problem. Also being a "high truck", there is very little problems with (wind) pushing you around. There are also 4 doors and not like some of the other SUV's, were you have these 2 1/2 back doors. Trunk space is adequate. For a 4 Wheel drive SUV the combined fuel economy so far is 24 miles per gallon. There were some rotor (brakes) problems, but they were taking care of immediately under warranty. I don't think you can get a turbo diesel for this price with 4 wheel drive in the future. The next diesel from Jeep will be the grand Cherokee in 07, but probably in the $45,000 range.
Pros Roomy & Its an SUV
Cons Gas prices are $3/gal now-a-days
Summary Its a great car. I got the basic liberty, not too many bells and whistles, no cruise control, janky tires. I got this vehicle for real estate purposes: Carrying signs & clients. Its not too bad. Its a kinda car thats not too fancy, but not too simple. I'm afraid I'm gonna put more $ into it sup'ng it up with GPS, RIMS and other things like that. But its a great car, drives nice. I like it...don't LOVE it, just like it. Its not a dream car. I am starting to see many people driving these around. The black ones with tinted windows and chrome package look sleek and sharp.

Pros Diesel mileage, peppy cruises at 80 no problem, great safety rating
Cons current price of diesel, tall people will have trouble seeing traffic lights
Summary I have only owned it a couple of weeks but so far I would recommend it to anyone. Feels solid. Makes all other similar size SUVs look like a flimsy (to me)
Cons Poor fuel milage
Summary I expected to get in the range of 20 to 25 mpg for the type of driving that I do(mostly highway). What I realy get is 17 to 18 mpg. I have a big 3/4T diesle truck that will beat that. The dealer keeps giving me the run around.
"I love my Jeep"on by kecward78
Pros Roomy, never gets stuck, reliable
Cons gas mileage
Summary I love my Jeep! They've added a new GPS device and DVD player to the 2005 models, too. I use it to tote around my dogs and it has plenty of room to it. Plus a solid sound system. My only gripe is that it gets less than 16 miles to the gallon. I have never gotten stuck and have often have driven people home in floods, snowstorms, etc. It's the best, most reliable vehicle that I've ever owned.
