SUVs have always been in a truck-like format, giving them poor handling. SUV is referred to Sport Utility Vehicle. They have also been the most power taking vehicles out in the automobile world. Why? because they haul a decent amount of cargo and people, which slows down the engine, and causes terrible fuel economy. Those are the main reasons why people are not comfortable buying these large pieces of machinery. Instead they will go and buy a sedan, or sports car, because SUVs haven't really been too reliable in the driving department.
Until now that is...
Surprisingly and amazingly the Lincoln Engineers have created one of the top vehicles with crisp, and beautiful handling, and lots of cargo room. Yes, the Lincoln Navigator has changed Lincoln's name forever, it is referred to as the golden SUV to many people. The engine is great, and it looks beautiful too. A combination which is hard to be found when looking at vehicles such as GM vehicles. Even when it hauls cargo and people, it does not slow down as much as the older model, and other SUVs. The Lincoln Navigator has the following features, and two great packages to choose from.
Power folding side mirrors
Bigger Grille for 2003
Power deployable running boards
Re designed tail lights for 2003
Power parking sensors
Plastic trim around bottom sides
Power folding seats
DVD entertainment system
Cargo space in middle
Authentic wooden trim
Heated/A.C front seats
Plastic middle in dashboard
A.C vents throughout whole SUV
There are two packages avalible which are :
ULTIMATE PACKAGE : More money, all features, and fully loaded with every option avalible from Lincoln
LUXURY PACKAGE : Less money, lesser features, not fully loaded, and less options avalible from Lincoln
Under the hood the Navigator supllies a raw hardcore 300 Horses, and a V8 5.4 Litre engine.
The pricing for the Lincoln Navigator is affordable and ranges from $70,000 - $85,000 in Canadian showrooms. Which is lesser than the competition of the Escalade which is a couple grand more. When being compared to other high end SUVs the NAVIGATOR clearly is better in looks, and everything else. Nothing is able to compare with this magnificent SUV, it handles just a like a luxurious Sedan, and provides raw power under the hood.
HISTORY OF THE NAVIGATOR
The Navigator originally was avalible for buying in 1998, when Lincoln had finally made their own Full-sized SUV. It was great in sales, and looked great, it had every option you needed to be comfortable while driving. It felt like you were at home, and you felt like a celebrity. In 2003, Lincoln changed their name forever, meaning they had become even more popular, and other competition couldn't keep up. The new navigator had all of the options that were mentioned above. It attracted younger buyers, and other SUVs were no competition anymore. That's basically it in a nut shell!
If you are looking into buying an SUV, let it be the Navigator it will never let you down. The name says it all, and it is at a magnificent price. Once you sit inside you really do feel like a real celebrity. The navigator has everything a person wants to have an enjoyable driving experience, and feels like you are still at home. It wont hold back, and it provides everything you should get with the money you spend. You truly will get everything out of the Lincoln Navigator.
TOP COMPARISONS FOR THIS SUV :
The top comparisons, and competition for the Navigator are the following SUVs.
Cadillac Escalade : Because of it's simularities, and design format, it is tough competition.
