The Bottom Line As the first luxury SUV hybrid, the Lexus RX 400h makes a good first impression with its power, its fuel efficiency, and its technology. The Lexus RX 350 is a luxury SUV that delivers a stylish, sporty ride. A powerful--and relatively economical--engine endows Lexus's flagship truck with solid performance, although the AWD version is recommended for anything away from the asphalt. A collection of optional cabin tech makes the RX 350 a wired ride. At the end of its model cycle, cabin tech in the 2008 Lexus RX 400h isn't cutting-edge, but the drivetrain still delivers impressive mileage by today's standards. The Highlander Hybrid delivers efficient power and drives better than the average SUV, but it skimps on dashboard gadgets. The new suite of cabin tech in the 2010 Lexus RX 350 catches this luxury SUV up with current car tech leaders, but the power train, while practical, doesn't take advantage of the latest efficiency technologies.
