Review summary We would have been thrilled with this car two years ago, but the competition has caught up, and in some cases surpassed Acura. A lot of the tech comes straight from the 2005 Acura RL model with little improvement in the interceding two years. The 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander offers great technology without getting too expensive while striking a near-perfect compromise between emissions, power, and mileage. It's a practical car for a wide variety of uses. The 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid has the practical configuration of a small SUV, along with the low emissions and good fuel economy of a hybrid. Its cabin electronics are up-to-date, although not extraordinary. The 2008 Saturn Vue XR is a stylish performer with some advanced optional cabin technology, including an intuitive touch-screen navigation and music system. The 2008 Nissan Rogue doesn't rate highly as a tech car due to its lack of any major cabin gadgets, but we like its general usability and its continuously variable transmission.
