The Bottom Line The 2007 Cadillac Escalade will be the only choice for a determined segment of buyers, but many other vehicles match its capabilities and offer better value. The 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid combines ostentatious luxury with an overt green theme, while offering seating for seven, cargo room, and fuel economy worthy of a V-6. This latest child in the Yukon family promises a lot, but fails to fully deliver as a SUV or a family car--especially for $54,000. There are more powerful, plush, and/or affordable SUVs available. At $60K, this pimped-out pickup truck is more likely to be found on Rodeo Drive than driving to a rodeo. Although in serious need of a cabin tech update, the 2009 Range Rover Sport maintains its off-road prowess and general drivability.
