Pros heated seats, slt-2 trim is great, 3rd row seats roomy, decent trunk space, advanced entertainment and audio, seprate countrols for 2nd row, fuel economy, "smartslide" 2nd row seats make very convient
Cons front seat storage and accessability, roof rack does not come with support bars(extra purchase),
Summary This SUV Crossover is great and very convienent. It has a very nice look and isn't that large, yet it is extremely roomy. So many great things like the smart-slide seats which give easy entry to 3rd row. XM-radio ready too. The DVD system that is factory installed is great with surround sound BOSE speakers and it doesn't skip. The fuel economy is fair, with an average of 17mpg around town("City"). Heated seats are great too. I have been in a LINCOLN MKX many times and by far the Acadia is nicer. Overall a great vehicle
Pros Size, comfort, looks, tech
Cons Not as good gas mileage as would have hope, no bluetooth
Summary I haven’t driven it as much as I would like, to really rate it, next weekend 6 of us are taking it on a long trip, so will be able to rate it better after that. That is why we got this rig, is for hauling our extended family around, especially ski trips.
This SUV is replacing a 14 year old minivan. More comfort, more room, all wheel drive, hopefully better gas mileage.
The Acadia is nominally the same size as the Tahoe (not as tall), but really not much else is the same. Just compare at the 3rd row seats and the space behind that seat to the Tahoe or any other SUV except the Suburban. The Acadia is really roomy on the inside. There is also NO comparison with the ride.
I can’t believe Wayne from CNET is comparing this car to a Pacifica, and says the Pacifica is better looking, NOT.
I too am disappointed in the fact that Bluetooth is not offered. As we did with our sedan, after the first year probably won’t renew our On-Star and then what good will the hands free calling do, plus now we have another phone number!
"VERY NICE!"on by delmartian
Pros Ride, handling, power, mileage, convenience and romminess
Cons None so far
Summary Rented an Acadia twice while in North Carolina. Travelled for several days thru the mountains and urban areas. This car carried 3 adults and a 4 year old with luggage very nicely. In a pinch we packed 5 adults and the 4 year old very comfortably. To say the least I am quite impressed. I don't understand why CNET reviewers gave it such a low rating I have test driven several crossovers including the Mercedes GL and this car beats it in roominess but not power and luxury. I recommend readers trust the reviews of this vehicle from Consumer Reports, Motor Trend, Car & Driver, MSN Autos, TheTurthAboutCars.com and USAToday they seem to know cars and how to review them.
Pros Style, build quality, room, 3rd row seats, mpg, features for price
Cons None that I can find
Summary Not sure why Cnet calls this an SUV and not a crossover. As I understand a crossover it is a "cross" between a car and an suv or van. The Pacifica looks and feels like an elevated station wagon. Uh, the Acadia definitely fits the definition of a crossover. This car drives like a dream. Very quiet, smooth ride. For its size it gets the best gas mileage out there. You will not find a crossover with better mileage, space and build quality for under $50K. I ordered my SLT-2 fully decked out with exception of navigation and it cost around $35,000. These cars are very popular as well. Hard to find much selection on the dealer lots. I doubt you could say that about the Pacifica.Updated
I originally wrote my review before receiving mine though I had test driven. After 4 months and 6000 miles I still rate the Acadia as a 10. Very good handling, smooth ride, versatile and good MPG for a large car. I would buy again in a minute. In fact, I am considering replacing a Japanese car we own with another Acadia
Pros good power, roomy, smooth, fun to drive, fair on gas, aotu stick, remote start, compliments on looks all day long
Cons no place for small trash, cant open hatch from front of car
