The Bottom Line With its stylish exterior and interior design and a wealth of useful tech features, the 2007 Honda CR-V is a positive evolution for the popular urban SUV. If you're into digital audio, just make sure you bring your iPod. The 2009 Honda CR-V EX-L's small size and Civic-like handling make it a great choice for city dwellers who occasionally need to haul things--or people. While the cabin tech is impressive, a few more features, such as Bluetooth or iPod connectivity, would make it a home run. The 2006 RAV4 Sport is a sassy, stylish midmarket SUV that is ideal for mall fill-ups or weekend camping trips. It doesn't pretend to offer outstanding luxury or performance, but some more gadgets would be nice. The 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander offers great technology without getting too expensive while striking a near-perfect compromise between emissions, power, and mileage. It's a practical car for a wide variety of uses. In too many ways, the 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara is average, though it feels solid and will get you from point A to point B in good shape. As a tech car, it gets outstripped by the competition.
