The Bottom Line The 2007 Suzuki XL7 is functional but boring, with lots of features that don't really distinguish it from other cars. Its tech offerings are adequate for a modern car, with a couple of superior components. In too many ways, the 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara is average, though it feels solid and will get you from point A to point B in good shape. As a tech car, it gets outstripped by the competition. The 2008 Suzuki XL7 Limited succeeds in its mission as a well-equipped crossover with a segment-leading price tag. Its fuel economy leaves something to be desired, but its tech offerings are impressive for a sub-$30K car. The 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander offers great technology without getting too expensive while striking a near-perfect compromise between emissions, power, and mileage. It's a practical car for a wide variety of uses. The rugged little 2007 Suzuki SX4 makes sense for outdoors types prone to get stuck in the mud with other bargain basement cars. But don't expect much in the way of on-road infotainment.
