The Bottom Line The 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo is a performance powerhouse but a cabin-tech laggard, and while its off-road credentials are unquestioned, it is unlikely they will ever be used. This is one $100,000 mall crawler that owes more to its badge cache than the quality of its interior amenities. It may cost a lot, but the 2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS is a high performance on- and off-road vehicle. Current cabin tech isn't great, but a new version of the Porsche Communication Management system is coming out soon. Technically stunning, the 2010 BMW X5 M works as track car and sport driver, but its bad fuel economy will make the daily commute costly. The cabin tech also offers a lot, but a few features fall short of the cutting edge. Although in serious need of a cabin tech update, the 2009 Range Rover Sport maintains its off-road prowess and general drivability. The 2009 Infiniti FX50S will surprise you with its level of performance, the luxury of its cabin, and its very advanced cabin and safety tech. What you shouldn't be surprised by is the big SUV fuel economy.
