2008 Saturn VUE XE 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 4A)

My wife are the kind of people that do our Homework,Three Criteria have to be met .
1: Safety.
2:Reliablity.
3:Economy
So Saturn was our Last Stop before the decision of a Purchase.
Firstly we went to Kia, why we ask "the worlds fastest growning Company".Kia Rondo Too expensive for what it is.
Next Hyundai Santa Fe yup great ride , they would throw in the Studded winter tyres, only to find out they would charged me for them in the Final bill of sale! A bit over our budget but we would buy it if Hyundai threw in the tyres like they said they would .
Next Honda Yup you've guessed it, Too, Too,CR-V just lacking the edge loosing my vote Honda.You have been great in the past but I think Arrogance is obvious. Expensive for what it is .
Next now here is something that is well with us my wife and I realy Sad. We both realy Liked the Mazda five the deal was sealed until I mentioned those winter tyres then it went to the dogs. Salesman was sleeping he realy didn't do the vehicle justice.
the Deal Fell through because of Reputation of the Service department then the salesman went to sleep on us . So I think why bother.
Chevrolet Equinox nice ride heavy on fuel and no side airbags . the tyres weren't in for two weeks so we went by Saturn by this time two weeks went by and I was tired of car salesmen giving me the run around.
Johnny La Flame Saturn Of Charlottetown .Well we test drove three Vues we decided with the Xe Canadian winter Package: Remote starter, Roof Rails,and the tyres we wanted well we drove out of the lot with them on.I got my student Grant just under $ 1000.00 and well the service it felt real ,run by real people, no gimmicks, no run around, no jargon, straight up.We both like the ride and we will be back Saturn.Oh Run your engine with syn oil , better engine life and recomended for Canadian winters.Good luck on your search.

For the past couple of weeks I have been checking out small compact SUV's. I have test driven the CRV, Escape, RAV4, Patriot and finally the Saturn Vue.

CRV: didn't like the one position front seats or the shifter in dash!

Escape: that's a good name for the vehicle. Cuz when I saw the inside of the bread box I ran.

RAV4: was impressive but didn't like the soft brake pedal or spare tire on the swinging back tailgate.

PATRIOT: below average and no comment.

VUE: WOW, this ride is amazing and yes I purchased one this past week on 12/17/07. Right now GM has a Red Tag sale going on until 1/2/08 where you get $2,000 cash back and another $500 if you are a Costco member. There was also a couple of extrees I got thrown my way for another $700. Like pin stripes and a sealer for the metalic paint. That works for me living by the beach because of the salt air.

The VUE is tidy and is an Opel from Europe but with a Saturn badge. GM why did it take you so long to get this rig in the states? It handles tight with no road noise and a pleasure to drive. Check out all of the safety features you get with this SUV. It's unreal...

The XM radio, On-Star and hands free telephone with Ipod connectivity is a good deal too. Not to mention it has three AC plugs at different locations if you need them. Not just one! I could go on and on but I will close...and tell you the MPG's are right on! (26 highway/19 city) should put this little package right in the middle of the main players of Honda and Toyota.

Currently, for the money...the Saturn Vue is untouchable in my mind. Take one for a spin and see what I mean.

The cup holders between the front seats seem to be a little bit low. But I am now getting used to it.
