The Bottom Line The 2008 Saturn Vue XR is a stylish performer with some advanced optional cabin technology, including an intuitive touch-screen navigation and music system. The 2007 Acura RDX is a good value, with practical interior space and very good drivability. Techies will delight in its cabin systems, but luddites will be overwhelmed by the many buttons and voice commands. The 2009 Honda CR-V EX-L's small size and Civic-like handling make it a great choice for city dwellers who occasionally need to haul things--or people. While the cabin tech is impressive, a few more features, such as Bluetooth or iPod connectivity, would make it a home run. The 2008 Saturn Vue Green Line is the cheapest hybrid SUV you can buy--in more ways than one. We like its revamped exterior and we can live with the spartan cabin, but its gas mileage falls short. Although we really liked the 2007 Mazda CX-7 during our test period, it wasn't outstanding in any particular way. It came equipped with a good stereo system and good navigation, and proved practical for getting around, and even fun to drive at times.
