"Noisy, unreliable, & lots of maintenance." on by Rog47

Pros: Good concepts , acceptable mpg.

Cons: Frequent brake replacement, cheap interior appointments, unreliable transmission.

Summary: Relaced brake pads at 20,000 highway miles, transmission totally failed @ 23,000 miles and even after dealer repair it functioned poorly. Lots of road noise just like a previous Dodge Intrepid I owned. Vehicle had mostly freeway miles and provided a reasonable ride, comfort on long hauls and mpg occasionally as high as 25mpg. Traded it at 28,000 miles as i just could not trust it mechanically on the open road.

    "disappointed" on by KAYKAM1997

Pros: handles well in the winter....Thats it

    Cons: engine noise.
    Terrible Brakes
    Stained Seats

Summary: I took my car to the dealership because i was hearing a rumbling noise coming from the engine and also a grinding noise from the steering. well the mechanic that drove with me said he had no clue what the noise from the engine was because hes never heard it before. He told me the grinding noise was my front brakes.I knew it wasnt but i didnt want to argue with the mechanic because it was his job to know. Anyway, i get my car back and they tell me the noise from the engine was normal. At first he had no clue but all of a sudden it was normal. They also told me it would be almost $500 to replace my brakes and since i wasnt letting them do it, i had to pay $110 for the inspection.I DONT THINK SO. i took my car to Midas and had my pads and rotors replaced but the grinding noise continued. I took my car back to the dealership so they could see that i had brand new brake pads and rotors. they inspected my car again and guess what... It was in fact a problem with my power steering. I do not like this car at all and after having it for only 5 months, i cant wait to trade it in

"For the money you can't beat the features and tech." on by robbabn

Pros: Seats 7, peppy engine (3.5L), good ride, great combination of tech toys for the family and great value.

    Cons: None so far.

Summary: For the cost of what I got my Journey R/T fully loaded I could not get another car in this class with so much to offer a family. Through Dodge incentives and dealer negotiations I was able to save over $6500 off MSRP. I tried other brands with test drives and negotiations but could not even come close to the savings with the same or better tech packages. Currently, I am averaging 21 MPG driving a mix of city and highway. I will be going on a road trip to Disney soon and anticipate getting closer to the 24 MPG as stated from Dodge. Bottom line is that my two girls love to ride in the car and my wife says it rides better than her 2010 Passat wagon. That's enough reviews for me to be happy with this car.

"Cheap interior & handling is horrible.Bad miles per gal" on by pakiguile

Pros: Great price for a 7 passenger car.

    Cons: Terrible on gas.

Summary: I drove this car for a week from enterprise rental. I have Ford Escape 2009 as a company car & Journey was terrible MPG wise compared to Escape. However Journey is 7 passenger & Escape is not.

"owned for 4 months, pretty good" on by hvalerio1996

Pros: stereo system is AWESOME gas mileage is GREAT all the little storage spaces(under second row floor, under the cargo space floor, under front passenger seat).

Cons: Stereo is way too low (under A/C controls) have had to take dealer way too many times, 3rd row is small

Summary: I got the SXT model pretty well-equipped but too many mistakes in design of the car
