"Murano = Great; Murano PROX Key = Not Great"
Pros: Wonderful Car
Cons: The Prox Key is Poorly Designed and Easy to Set Off
Summary: I've been driving a 2009 Murano for about a week. The car is great (I have the loaded LS model), but the Prox key is poorly designed.
Leave the prox key in your pocket with other keys and you're sure to set off the alarm, or remotely open the tailgate, all without knowing it. The keys have a large surface area and are NOT recessed.
The range of the prox key is several dozen yards, and the radio transmissions penetrate building walls quite nicely. No doubt you'll walk to your car only to find that the tailgate is open, or the doors are unlocked.
Yuck!
