"Better ideas out there!"
on by tommyfloridaPros I don't, too much money.
Cons For $70, 000, it's neither the best sports car or the best SUV and who cares if it can corner like a feral cat?
Summary For $70, 000, there are better ideas out there - for a lot less. Pass.

"Best Sport SUV on the Market"
on by tjp1963Pros Great Drivability, Very Nice Interior, Great seats, New Electronics are a huge improvement over the previous interface, Wonderful engine, Best sounding SUV on the planet!!
Cons Needs PDDC to smooth out the handling in the corners
Summary I previously owned a 2008 Cayenne Turbo, but ended up trading it in on a 911. The machine plain scared me! 500hp when you are trying to drive with care and finesse in the snow and ice just don't. Plus the mileage was awful. When I needed another SUV, I looked closely at the Cayenne again, and settled on a 2009 Cayenne GTS, with the Tiptronic. The lowered suspension and increased power make it much sportier than the standard Cayenne S, but the power deliver is much smoother than the Turbo. I feel much more confident on slippery surfaces with the smooth power delivery. However, get on a dry surface, push the sport button, and let this baby sing! I have never heard a richer, more powerful exhaust note, especially on an SUV. This is an incredibly spirited machine, in true Porsche fashion. The interior with the sport seats and Alcantara inserts and headliners is nicer than the Turbo's IMO.
My only regret on this vehicle is not getting the PDDC which is needed to remove the lean in the corners when driving in a spirited fashion. I had it on the Turbo, and I think it should be standard on the Cayenne GTS to really keep with the sporting nature of the machine.
In normal everyday driving, this machine gets much better mileage than the Turbo. But lets be frank, if you are buying a large sporty SUV, you cant be too concerned about mileage. That's what Acura RDX's are for!
For my money, I will take the Cayenne GTS over the frog-like BMW X6 4.4 any day. More room in the back (giving you the practicality of an SUV) but i think it is sportier all around.
I am very pleased with this machine. -

"How about that cabin tech at less than 1/2 the price?"
on by rgf1Pros Luxurious fun
Cons Big Bucks!
Summary You can find cabin tech just a good as this in a 2010 Dodge Nitro for considerably less than 1/2 the price, have a multitude of nearby dealers, pay less at the shop, likewise for parts after the warranty expires and get 1/3 as much fun as the big Porsche.
