"I love the Tiguan"
Pros: Excellent performance from both the 2.0T and transmission. Nice stock radio/CD/mp3 despite what CNET says. Looks and handles great and stock 16" tires look larger than 16" and the stock rims are also great looking.
Cons: Wish S & SE models came with leatherette rather than cloth.
Summary: This car/SUV/CUV/wagon takes off when you push on the gas unlike it's competitors not to mention it has a better build quality. MPG is higher than EPA estimate with city mpg be in the 20 -23 range and highway mpg 26 -27. The S model is not too pricey compared to the competition when you consider the standard features and the fact you have to pay $2000 more to get the turbo in the Subarru XT. Based on what I've seen CNET goes out of their way to trash VW products complaining about things like they have to turn knobs on the dash a full quarter turn for each option (VW Jetta review). This is a quality built compact SUV with great performance and performs as well as my 2006 VW Passat which I never had a problem with in three years.
