Pros Smooth ride
Programmable heated seats
Plays music form iphone 3G and displays iphone library - Cnet needs to brush up on their tech
Intuitive bluetooth with noticeable improvement to call quality over AT&T through iphone 3G
Cons Not a Porsche
Summary For ten to twenty thousand dollars more we could have picked up the Lexus RX350, Audi Q5, or BMW X5; but we would have had to settle for a lesser vehicle at a premium price.
Though I generally appreciate Cnets treatment; Brian Cooley appeared fully prepared to ding Cadillacs latest offering; to the extent that he misrepresented a few of the 2010 SRX's finer points - access to iphone's music library / bluetooth inergration.
We are still big fans Cooley; aside from the noted trangressions the review was spot on...
Pros Radical, ultra modern styling, fit and finish, advanced AWD, regular fuel, luxurious well crafted interior, super quiet interior, smooth ride, car like handling, Driver Information Center, Bose 5.1 Cabin Surround Sound System, Tri-Zone Climate Ctrl
Cons Power operated parking brake doesn?t release automatically when you shift into ?Drive? or ?Reverse?. No locked remote released fuel filler door. No conventional cargo net, only a horizontal tie down net.
Summary First, the reviewer needs to spend enough time testing the vehicle to know all of its features. The SRX "does" have a phone book. It's just stored as "voice tags". Therefore, you can't actually see phonebook names and numbers in text form. However, you can store 35 voice tags.
I?d have to say the interior is ergonomically and aesthetically ahead of anything else in its class. For the money, there?s nothing else out there that even comes close. From the stitched leather door panels to the genuine Sapele wood inserts, the SRX is like a luxury suite on wheels with amenities galore. You may not want to get out once you arrive at your destination. Exterior and interior fit and finish are impeccable! The ambient lighting is elegant and tastefully done. Light pipes illuminate the dash and all four door panels. The driver?s floor, front passenger?s floor, both rear passenger?s floor and the center console are also aglow in soft white light. The UltraView moon roof is amazing! You?ll never want to go back to a traditional moon roof. On the road the SRX proved to be a tight and solid performer. I heard no squeaks or rattles whatsoever. The triple door seals and acoustically dampened windshield and side windows make for an extremely quite interior. The SRX takes curves just like a car, with no noticeable body roll. Bumps are effectively absorbed by the suspension.
Pros This redesign take the "soccer Mom" out of the SRX and puts in Dad and singles. Drives like a charm, rides nicely, is just the right size and turns lots of heads.
Cons Is a bit underpowered - but OK -- but, as with some other owners, I have had my battery drain inexplicably three times - and the dealer service people can't find the problem - and GM customer service says they can't do anything because the service guys ca
Summary Stay away from Cadillac until they update their dealerships, improve the quality of their service, and until Cadillac and GM customer service realizes that we buyers are also the same taxpayers that saved GM's butt and their jobs (in Management as well as in the factory)!!!!
Pros Intellegent design, style, class, in a US product. Excellent handling, ride characteristics. Engine should be a super-durable design. GM has come a long way.
Cons Could use a built-in sunglasses case. I would prefer the sound of true dual exhaust.
Summary This car is on par with the X5, which is what I was driving.
Pros This vehicle is awesome! I have owned over 30 new cars and I must say this one stands all alone at the top. Its quiet, smooth, powerful, refined, fun to drive, loaded with options.
Cons This is being VERY nit picky. More leg room in rear seats would be nice, locking gas cap, and a SPARE TIRE!!!!! Not coming with a spare really stinks!
Summary Other reviews state that the car is underpowered...NOT. This is coming from a guy who rides the most powerful prooduction motorcycle the world . They state that the transmission is not smooth and gets lost....NOT..Serioulsy anyone who would love this vehicle is an ANAL idiot. Probably the same person who voted for obama and keep waiting by the mail for large government check. LOL I would RUN to the dealership to by this car in a second! Hope the reliability and the resale value doesnt dissapoint me.
