Pros rides smooth, lots of interior space
Cons It's great that Nissan covers the transmission up to 120,000 miles, however I would like a reliable car. I'm tired of my car being out of commission so often.
Summary Nissan's CVT transmission may be smooth while it's running, but we've had to replace our 2009 all wheel drive Rogue's transmission every single year for the past three years, and we only have 60,000 miles on the vehicle. I don't exactly call that the best CVT transmission in the business, at least when it comes to reliability, and isn't that the point of a car- to get you somewhere reliably? In fact, there is a KNOWN problem to exist with the transmissions, hence the great warranty on them. We will be selling our Rogue just as soon as it comes back from the shop. It's getting pretty old not knowing when the transmission is going to decide to give out, and then being out a car for at least a week, often two weeks, while it is being replaced yet again.
