Works as advertised, low failure rate.by wfairley - November 10, 2008
Pros: Reliable hardware, very good tech support, excellent web based configuration interface, I have had a very low rate of failure on ports and chassis failures. I"ve installed and configured approx. 50 with no issues.
Cons: It's kind of pricey, but most business class POE switch/router devices are pricey.
Review:
My company does not represent Adtran, but we sell some Adtran equipment alongside other vendors' equipment as part of our integrated solutions. The 1224R POE has proven to be a reliable device, with straightforward configuration interfaces (web and telnet/console). Adtran's AOS is similar to Cisco's IOS, with minor differences in abbreviations. Overall my experience with this product has been very good.
