"Failed in three weeks"
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Poor customer service
Summary: The unit worked for three weeks and then would randomly disconnect and reconnect all ports at its' own discretion. Three hours on the phone to finally convince Netgear that the unit was not working. Had to pay an additional $9.95 to have it covered under warranty, either that or pay $20-$50 for "expedited shipping" or wait 7-10 business days after they receive the failed switch that I must ship to Netgear at my expense. After paying the additional fee for a one-year warranty, I received next day replacement of the switch, unfortunately it was a scratched, refurbished older model switch. I have asked for an explanation on why I was sent a refurbished older model switch as a replacement to a new switch that did not last three weeks; but I will send them old switch as I only have 10 days to return it before Netgear will charge full price for the refurbished unit that was sent as a replacement. Not a pleasant experience, would have been better off time & money wise by chucking the Netgear switch and buying another brand as a replacement.
