NetGear GS608 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch

Summary: I am not sure why any one would buy any other 8 port 10/100 switch when there is this beauty on the market. The unit makes no noise because it has no fan; it runs cool on its own. The unit has a big buffer and gigabit Ethernet so it is fast and future friendly even if you don’t use gigabit nics yet. I have run this switch with a wide range of cards and other switches on the network and no problems with compatibility at all. Honestly installing it was about as easy as installing a power bar, just plug in all the cords and away it goes. We have had our 3 GS608 switches running for half a year and not one problem. I wish all networking products were this well designed and reliable.
