"No good harddrive, smart messes up!"
1.0 starson by ProDigitPros: Big in size, ok looking, cheap
Cons: Smart interrupts the drive, rearranges the drive's content
forced 2 drives (virtual CD rom drive of 800kb, and the 1TB drive.
Inaccessable folders, and folder permissions lockedSummary: Was a bad purchase
I would give this drive a 'zero'-star rating!
Smart interrupts the drive, at times when uploading files, so that files will not be continuous anymore.
Smart rearranges the drive's content
The drive wastes 800kb on a virtual CD drive (2 drives appear), and you can't delete the first (disc)drive.
Continuous background activity.
The only reason it gets one star, and not half, is because of the size and price.
Some folders are inaccessable (like a disk read error), others you can't delete anymore.
After 6 months of having the drive it sure shows lots of signs of data read errors!!!
Go with toshiba drives for fast access (for OS) or Seagate drives.
WD drives suck, because they break down a week after warranty expires with heavy use.
And this drive is good, but hp's controller SUCKS!!!
Go for another drive if you can! (a Seagate)

It's the worst piece of crap I've owned!
Only after 6 months it started showing bad sectors (and several of them)!
Even after a scandisk, it shut down and lost all my data!
Recovery was impossible, even with advanced recovery software, because of the annoying system it uses, and superslow USB2 connection.
I finally managed to unplug the drive and connect it to a sata port, but the drive was not recognized (HP encrypted???)
anyways BIGGEST FAIL EVER!
