The goodThe good: Fast transfer speeds, very inexpensive cost per gigabyte, compact, and stylish design.

The badThe bad: No FireWire support.

The bottom lineThe bottom line: While other external hard drives offer built-in backup software, automatic data encryption, or rugged casing protection, the Transcend StoreJet 25F only promises, and delivers, the fastest data transfers at the lowest price. The missing FireWire prevents us from giving this Transcend an Editors' Choice award, but we still highly recommend this drive to storage hounds who don't mind USB 2.0.

Buyer beware!by momofcody2 - January 15, 2011

Pros: Item had potential, but ....

Cons: USB connection port broke after ninimal usage. Mfr cited physical damage not covered under warrenty. Only person to use unit was myself - not sure how I caused physical damage by plugging in the USB cable a total of maybe 6 times???

Review: Product unable to deliver based on 'cheap' construction ....

Pros: Quick, to the point drive for storing my movies, pictures and music. nice carry felt bag

Cons: just the lack of firewire

Review: I ended up getting the smaller 320gb version of Trenscend, its to the point, I was amazed to how quick my files transfered to it. Overall, not dissapointed yet.

Pros: easy transfer of data.plug and play,great software (storejet elite)Easy installationl,transportable size.

Cons: Maybe price.Only available at Transcend. No retailers have it yet.

Review: Had My book for couple of years always had trouble with it not turning off when you shut down. 25f USB powered.Shuts down easy. Easy to remove. I'm not one to write reveiws on products just wanted to inform others on good product's.Allways read reveiws,my turn to return advise.
