"Great Little Computer"
Pros: Awesome OS, Good Software Incl., Tiny, Excellent Media Player
Cons: Battery Life
Summary: This is an excellent little computer package at a great price. The media player included seems to play EVERYTHING right out of the box (a little like VLC only more user friendly). I had planned to install XP after purchasing it, but the UI and included software with the OS (Debian?) are far better than XP for basic usage. WiFi works perfectly. Perhaps the nicest feature is that it has lightning fast startups and shutdowns. The only disappointing feature is the battery life. You would be lucky to get 3hrs with normal usage; for me it gets 2.5hrs MAX just surfing the internet. Sure, it's not $200 as suggested before, but even with the $400 price tag is is definitely worth it.

I found that if you're just using it for word processing, turning off WiFi will get you an extra 1-2 hrs of battery. I've got XP, with the Asus Eee PC tray utility, and it works great. Also, eeectl is a good program for XP Eee users. It allows you to overclock, adjust fan, and backlight from the tray. The backlight gets really bright from the utility. It's a very good computer for students in high school. I'm extremely impressed with the 3 USB 2.0 ports. My laptop has only 2 USB 1.1 ports. As for no S-Video out, I got a device a while back to convert VGA to S-Video or single yellow cable. Time to bring that back out. All in all, it's a great machine for on the road. Plug in a monitor, speakers, and USB keyboard and mouse, and you've got a great little desktop machine. I'm submitting this from my Eee.

Not a comment, a questions actually. I am extremely tempted to buy this baby. But can it print? How do I load printer drivers? I print a lot on the go with a portable Canon BJC 50.
