"Set your expectations: it is a super portable XP/Vista"
Pros: Take a desktop with you; great connectivity 802.1b/g; bluetooth and Sprint EVDO
Cons: Bulky (I need bigger pants pockets) and this old guy needs glasses to see
Summary: All ultra portables are filled with compromises. Vulcan took their shot and for me it works.
While I still have kept my desktop, this now goes where I go. Powerful enough (even in battery save mode with the CPU cranked in half) to run all of my Office 2007, IE 7 and then some.
And if I want, I can crank up a movie to watch on the excellent screen.
Yes it is bulky (about two times the size of my old PDA) but I have connectivity and a full PC where ever I go. Yes, it isn't perfect, but if I adjust my expecations, it fills all my portable application & computing needs.
[Plus it never fails to get the "wow" effect when people see me using it.]
At the new price, this is a deal.
