"Great features, nice rotating screen, POOR Battery!"
Pros: Great rotating screen allows customer presentations very effectively.
Cons: VERY Poor 8 cell battery. Nowhere NEAR 7-8 hours... more like 3 hours.
Summary: I bought this new state of the art laptop 2 weeks ago for 2 reasons... the ability to show presentations in true 8 1/2 x 11 format, and rotating "long" way screen allows me to do that. However, 2nd MAIN reason was chance to FINALLY have a laptop that runs "7-8 hours" to last a full day of presentations. The press on "7-8 hours" is a joke. The only way to get 8 cell battery to run anywhere near that long is to keep screen at level 0 or 1, which is unreadable to my clients... and to disable ALL networking cababilities of WIFI or PCMCIA Sprint card. With ANY of these things running, battery meter and real life experience shows 3-4 hours TOPS. This is actually LESS than 5 year old Toshiba Portege I've been using, running these same features. VERY disappointed that Lenovo markets this at 7-8 hours... borderline FRAUD if you can't actually do anything and acheive those levels. About to send system back.
