"Great for Web surfing" on by persistentbean
Pros: Ideal for reading the Web in all kinds of situations, and checking email. Quick responses can be made with the stylus using the built in handwriting recognition provided by Vista.
Cons: The screen is too small for serious business use.
Summary: I love this machine as a Web surfing tablet. I expect that in the near future we'll see better faster cheaper lighter models, but until then, this is the closest thing I've seen to a "giant iPhone." For serious business use, however, the screen is too small and the handwriting recognition makes too many mistakes to keep up with the pace of a business meeting (it's good enough for drafting a quick response to an email, or entring a URL). The touch screen option allows direct manipulation with a finger, but I don't think it's worth the money. It's much less reponsive than an iPhone, and the screen gets covered with grease marks. I use the stylus.
