"Solid, functional, beautiful display/graphics, fast"4.0 starson by kgloffice
Pros: Excellent implementation of Honeycomb (Android 3.0) OS. Long battery life when surfing the internet and/or non-video playback functions. Solid construction: especially important in a thin form factor. Touch screen very responsive and accurate to touch. Pl
Cons: Needs a convenient, low cost accessory like the iPad2 cover that angles/supports the tablet when (a) typing on a flat surface or (b) using a USB keyboard. Cannot stream movies via Netflix due to lack of Netflix support for Android OS to date.
Summary: While the iPad2 is lighter by approximately 6 oz. and thinner, the A500 feels more solid and manageable to my hands than the Apple product. I would suggest that anyone comparing the two first decide what they want to do with the tablet on a regular basis, then decide the product: if you need special apps that you only find in the Apple store, then buy an iPad2, otherwise, save some money and buy the A500 and use the savings to expand memory.
