"I LOVE MY KINDLE"on by cbarbee450
Pros GREAT SOUND, VERY FAST
Cons VOLUME AND POWER BUTTONS ARE HARD TO FIND
Pros The Kindle 7 HD provides true expanded and stable WI FI frequencies offering capabilities of both 2.5 and 5.0 frequencies
Pricing is affordable,
True Surround Sound (almost theater like)
Picture clarity at any angle!! Extremely impressive
Cons Does not include PowerFast charger and must be purchased separately. This irks the heck out of me
Batter life is questionable at only 11 hours
Summary The Kindle Fire 7 HD is affordable starting at 199USD. With all the features such as smooth video and movie viewing, faster downloads (up to 38% faster than the Apple I Pad), surround sound, and VR 3d graphics with 1.6 GHZ dual core processor; the product could have been priced much higher.
This is truly a product that give a lot of band for a short buck. As an owner I have not even considered using anything else when it comes to facebooking, twitter, and skype.
A good value for your money. You will not be disappointed. You can read my complete user review at http://www.squidoo.com/kindle-fire-prices-and-review
Pros Works like advertised at first. It works as advertised and the scene resolution is great.
Cons Wireless gets disconnected,
touch screen did not work well
book pages change order
Refuses to load some pages.
Does not allow saving of pdf's,
randomly stops showing pages
Customer service sucks
Summary Buy an iPad and download kindle app I wish I had the money to do so I would not have to deal with these problems. I have to continuously tun the thing on and off to get through a book that worked fine on my kindle dx. Oh and you can't return audio books. Don't buy this item it does not work well over time.
Pros Gr8 screen.
Good battery life.
HDMI & USB mini ports
Cons Tablet screen not that reactive to swipes.
Typing not accurate or responsive.
On/Off, sound switches impossible to find by touch.
Can't use your own photos as background or wallpaper.
NO FLASH COMPATIBILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary Amazon content shoved down your throat and costs extra $15 to get rid of.
Amazon Customer Service is the worst, and that's even if you DO get someone who speaks English.
Was supposed to get 30 days of FREE Prime, but the Fire HD wouldn't sync at all with my ALREADY PURCHASED Amazon content. So Customer Service told me, IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THIS, to repurchase my already purchased content, OR to deregister it, and then register it again. By doing so, I lost my Prime trial, even though it was through AMAZON'S customer "non" service that told me to do so.
Carousel not that responsive to touch activation or swipe.I loved my kindle e reader and thought the Fire HD would be just as gr8. I asked for one as a Christmas present, but be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. "It" is the tablet and customer service from h-e-double toothpicks!
I love the HD viewing screen and the really nice sound, but other than that, this thing is only useful as a paper weight.
STAY AWAY!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros Up front and ongoing cost to use.
Cons Device design not so great and a lot of blacked out real estate on the screen.
Summary The first thing you need to do is to disregard all of the negative reviews posted about this device. The main reason is that they are all complaining about the geeky technical aspects of this device that aren't really what owning a tablet or similar devices is all about. It is about the expericence. That being the case, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD with an Amazon Prime Membership CRUSHES Google Play for free content and content delivery. It comes in a close second to Apple's iPads for ease of use, but beats Apple in terms of up front and ongoing cost, again with an Amazon Prime Membership. Yes, Amazon could have made this device lighter and not wasted so much real estate on blacked out screen space which is why it only gets four stars. But, at the end of the day, between Google, Apple, and lest we forget B&N's Nook, the Kindle Fire wins the battle.
