"CLASS OF ITS OWN! ALL CRITICS ARE NAIVE HERE'S WHY..." on by Salem389

Pros: Beautiful Display, Easy to type, AT&T has surprisingly blazing 3g speed, Interface, and most importantly APPS!!!!

Cons: Screen should be anti-glare, can't wirelessly sync music and videos with itunes. (This is just me being greedy)

Summary: All critics who have went on to bash the iPad are completely naive. No you can't connect an external HD, no there's no flash but what did you expect apple to do? Make a device that will essentially drive all macbooks to extinction?
The bottom line is this: Is the iPad a necessity? NO. Is is a luxury? Yes and a HUGE ONE!
You name me one other device that will last you 12 hours, allow you to surf the web, watch movies/tv shows, allow you to stream movies to your iPad, and most importantly give you access to the most amazing store of apps known to man........ Can't come up with anything can you? OF course not because this device is completely revolutionary and it most definitely delivers! For instance today i caught up on lost by streaming the latest episode from my ABC app (yes you can watch any ABC TV show on your iPad), then i played a game of scrabble while listening to my itunes music, after that i checked the weather on the Weather Channel App, after that i got some work done by editing a spreadsheet on Pages, then I read The Lost Symbol. Instead of bringing my Kindle, iPod, and a Netbook with me all i had to do was bring my iPad with me today....... This is a luxury like no other! If you can afford it DO NOT hesitate to buy!

"Fun, flexible device" on by sanguinjay

    Pros: Portable
    Great battery life
    Intuitive interface
    Growing App market

Cons: Too big for a pocket
    No Flash
    Quasi-multitasking
App market still a little small

Summary: I picked mine up shortly after the iOS 4.2.1 release. I have used it mainly as a second computer at home, but it has come in handy as a lighter alternative to taking my 15 inch laptop on the go. The battery has been more then impressive. At home the brightness is set to the lowest setting ,otherwise it seems a bit like a torch, and it can go a day or more without needing a charge. I pick it up to play a few games, check my email, log on to facebook, watch movies and videos, and sketch a bit, with long periods of standby. I will fall asleep with it next to me in bed. I pick it up and check facebook and the battery is still strong. The GPS is good more accurate then it will ever admit itself to being, it can pin point my location to less then 20 feet while inside my home. AT&T coverage is pretty lousy in my area, but they are expecting to improve that here soon, but when I am covered it is more then fast enough to check my email, Facebook, and instant messages to friends.
The downside of the device has to be the apps you can get for it. As of this review many of my most needed apps such as yahoo messenger, Facebook, and Skype have yet to release iPad optimized versions. They look perfect on the small screen of my iPod touch 4g but look atrocious blown up to fit my iPad, though that is of no fault of Apple, developers need more time and incentive to focus on the new device.

"Apple nails it. The first and ONLY legitimate tablet." on by VReggie

Pros: Superior build quality and feel. Useful functionality, ease of use.

Cons: Slightly larger than ideal for portability, but still a great product.

Summary: Without the 3G it's merely a toy, or an entertainment device (music, pictures and video). The 3G transforms this into a functional, powerful work tool given the right apps.

    "iGREATNESS" on by DOMINUCE

    Pros: 3G(QUAD BAND,HSPDA). Screen Size that's basically a 15" Notebook. Dare I say..APP STORE, iWorks.

Cons: after updating too 4.2.1 there seems to be a Charging problem via USB Port, hopefully Apple will Fix this with 4.3.

Summary: Great Tool too use. I own a Laptop and Sometimes I may not want too take it with me to work, SO..why NOT..get something that's a Cross OF the Two.
