Apple iPad (16GB)

Pros: The screen is beautiful. ABC app looks great, as does netflix. The games are nice and as iPhone users my wife and I had no learning curve.

Cons: I guess I could mention the lack of USB, but I knew about that and honestly don't need it outside of printing. My biggest gripe is about iPhone OS 3.2. I find it interesting that there isn't any apple specific app integration for those of us w/ macs.

Summary: Bottom-line, I am a heavy pc user... Windows Laptop, Macbook Pro, and iMac w/ Fusion running WIndows 7. Logic Pro, CS4, iMovie, and Final Cut are all in my repertoire so as one would imagine, I wouldn't have much use for a bigger iPhone. On the other hand, my wife is a lite user, and has fell in love with the 64 gb model I bought for her. To be honest, it does beat surfing on my laptop in the living room and for heavier computing, I just go to the desktop. This truly is a "different" type of device, so expectations shouldn't be where they are, and I think it's rather ignorant to rate a product that you don't even own. The display is beautiful and the interface is very smooth. One gripe is that pretty much nothing comes in the box outside of a charger! I mean, can I at least get earbuds, lol. Overall, if you're expecting this to be a laptop... buy a laptop. If you're looking for convenience to replace the lighter things you do on a laptop such as surfing, chatting, and some gaming... go for it. There are plenty of nice apps already, and this product will only evolve. Hope this review helps someone.
