Pros Thinner and lighter making it feel better in the hand.
Dual core makes apps to run smoother / faster.
Cons Glass is thinner - worried issues will arise
Only 512mb of ram - could have easily and should have gone to 1gb
Camera is so-so.... expected same quality as i4.
No improvement in sound or wifi signal
Summary I looked, I played but decided against replacing my existing iPad (16gb wifi version)
At this time I see no real reason to upgrade.
Will focus my sight on an Android or other tablet instead.
Though it will likely sell well (based on the lines I saw) I feel Apple really let it slide by not providing any innovative or significant improvements.
Sorry Apple, I think you missed a great opportunity.
Pros The iPad two is fast, lightweight, intuitive, and easy to pick up. You'd be hard pressed to find the amount of available apps on a different platform.
Cons The only issue I had with this product was the same old notification system that shipped with the iPhone 3g, and my backlight bleeds on a black screen. What gives?
Summary This is one of the best items you can get if you want something that is relatively cheap. It lets you check your email, access your social networks, browse the web, and more.
Pros It's thin enough to slice a cake, yet still feels firm enough not to seem flimsy and cheap. There are a lot of tablet-specific appls to purchase and the UI feels snappy and responsive.
Cons Fonts on the screen are fuzzy and bleed. Camera is a complete joke.
Summary So while tablets are fun toys, I don't think they've justified themselves just yet to be more than gaming / casual surfing / movie devices. I don't like the lack of Flash on the iPad, a huge setback in terms of maximizing the web experience - why pay for Hulu when its free on your laptop? I don't think they or anyone has yet to come up with a viable solution to the difficulty of inputting data on these things. I think that will come, I imagine the future being a more effective multi-part laptop of sorts, or a re-introduction of the stylus, or lip reading recognition. Thought recognition?
Pros Fast, clean, good apps, Great presentation tool, cool games, good reader
Cons Proprietary connections. No attachments to emails, especially replys, apps costly, Terrible business apps, keyboard imput is slow and no real predict text.
Summary Ipad2 is perfect if want something to show keynote doc, surf facebook etc play games, essentially a toy. This is nearly useless as a work tool. How can you have mail device with NO ability to respond to an email and not be able to add an attachment. Actually no app for that mail. Read the forums and read what people do to try and add an attachment. Ridiculous. Great little presenter but for 500 after covers, apps etc. If you have ideas of replacing your laptop. Forget it.
Pros Light weight
Cons No USB port
Summary Great purchase! Love my iPad!
