"Best option if you're looking for a mature product"
4.5 starson by DSL69Pros: Second generation device
Size, weight, and battery life are best in class
Mature, stable, and consistent user experience
65,000 plus applications vs <100 for Android (larger market of developers for the device)
More options for content (audio, video, bCons: No Flash support if you want to watch HULU, but there are plenty of content alternatives. Overall, I don't miss Flash
Summary: I don't usually buy first generation devices so I waited on the sidelines this past year watching my friends enjoy their iPad 1s or various android tablets. I spent the last few months researching and test driving any tablet I could get my hands on. I finally bought a Xoom and an iPad 2 and used them side by side for week. Ultimately, I chose the iPad 2 do to the maturity of the offering. By that I mean: a robust, stable, and consistent user experience; larger market of apps and accessories; more options for content. Android's/Xoom's technical specs look great on paper, but they don't always translate to a difference to the user experience. I simply could do more with the iPad than I could with the Xoom. That may change in a couple of years, but at the same time I don't see Apple sitting around doing nothing the next couple of years either.
