"Record Temp in Cleveland = Bad day for Apple"0.5 starson by DravenStele
Pros: All the comforts of my ipod and my wife's iphone (except the phone part).
Cons: Overheating: this is unfortunately a deal breaker.
I guess with the smaller screens on the ipod (touch) and the iphone, I didn't notice the finger prints as much. The iPad really shows off the prints from swiping.
Summary: My wife bought us an iPad this past weekend. We had a holiday barbecue and took it along to show off to our friends. It was a record temperature couple of days for the Cleveland, Ohio area over the weekend (upper 70s). We had the iPad out for less than thirty minutes, and not even in direct sunlight for all of that (sun umbrella at the picnic table). We got the temperature warning screen. What were we to do? We couldn't leave it in the car because the thermometer had the in-car temp at 93-degrees. We had to leave it in our friends' house for about half an hour to an hour before it would respond. My wife does a good chunk of her summer reading out by the pool, in the car while waiting for the kids' softball practice to finish, etc. She'll just have to continue to use her iphone. The ipad is going back to the store.
