"My first Apple product and it will be my last."1.5 starson by shamiyim
Pros: Great resolution for displaying photo portfolio, Good weight for the size, last a long time on a charge. Makes an excellent book reader. Wireless works well even when pushing the distance from a hotspot.
Cons: Too expensive! No documentation of operations that should be simple . Stuck with I tunes on one computer only to transfer information (photos,docs.etc). Can not download directly from internet again has to go through I tunes.
Summary: I have spent more time online trying to problem solve then any computer I have owned. This will be my first and last Apple product. I keep hearing about a firmware update but on the other side hear it continues to have bugs in it. If by chance you use the camera/sd card adapter be sure and create a file DCIM on the card and move your photos to it or it will not work (this took me days of searching to find the answer and not on the Apple website).
I have been using the Ipad for about four months now and the basics (I books, photo gallery and wireless) are good. The functionality of the I pad overall is poor, once you load photos on the Pad you can not just delete one photo, it is back to Itunes to pull the folder on the desktop and delete what is needed then re-sync again through Itunes.
This could be a really wonderful product if Apple would have talked to the public about what they wanted in a tablet before releasing the Ipad for sale.
I will keep the Ipad manly for a portfolio for my photo work, I was going to purchase a Iphone but decided to go with the Android (so far superior in performance, no more Itunes for downloads) and am no disappointed one bit .
I am a retired person that still works and am just being honest with my review, I had to pay for my Ipad
