"I've had the TF101 for a few months now and love it."
on by jimt1952Pros The resolution is great and the battery life if strong. It has so many apps that you will never want to be without it.
Cons I do wish it could be used with a carrier just to make it more mobile. Though with so many hot spots, it's not a major issue.
Summary Best purchase ever. I love the versatility of this tablet and it's light enough I can hold it for long periods of time without tiring of holding it. But, the docking keyboard cures that. I don't ever leave without it and really like to use it when I go out to eat.
I would and do recommend it to everyone. -
"Great tablet. Works flawlessly after latest update."
on by gwhiz2KPros -Great Screen
-Responsive UI
-Keyboard Dock
-Asus is quick with updates
-Basic Android with only a few Asus "enhancements"
-Good software productivity package
-Lots of ports for connectivity
-Ability to plug in external storage
-2 SD slots (with KB)Cons -Edges sometimes feel a little "flex-y"
-Early ICS updates were a bit buggy
-Camera is sub-par
-Using the tablet with the Keyboard dock like a netbook, means I now have a bad habit of poking the screen on my regular laptop when I use it. :PSummary First of all, have to say this tablet was flawless as it came, with Honeycomb. The UI was a bit sluggish if used in portrait mode (on Honeycomb).
The update to ICS came quite quickly. Some users were having problems with random reboots. Asus released several updates to try and solve the problem, and were even active on some of the user forums to try to solve what was apparently happening for only a few. The latest update has fixed the problem completely (no reboots for 2 weeks now), and the tablet is now very "snappy", with no sluggishness or problems.
ICS on this tablet feels great. The UI is no longer sluggish in portrait mode.
I listed the camera as a Con, but really, I'm not someone who cares about camera on a tablet. That's not what I use it for, and have rarely found the need, since my phone is always around. For Skype-ing, the front camera works great.
I notice games like Temple Jump are not quite as smooth as on my Galaxy Nexus, but I'm guessing that's to be expected since it's an older GPU (Tegra 2). WiFi performance seems ok, I've not had any issues, and GPS appears to work well too (not that I've used it much, my tablet mostly stays at home on WiFi).
I got it for Christmas, then went out and bought the keyboard dock a few weeks later. The keyboard dock really makes the Transformer rock. I get wonderful battery life out of it, usually only charging it once or twice a week. It's nice that you can separate the 2 and charge the keyboard while using the tablet elsewhere, then connecting the keyboard charges the tablet again. You can also charge both at the same time by charging the keyboard while connected.
I regularly plug my external HD into the USB port, and it can transfer files extremely quickly. Same for USB thumb drives, and even my SLR camera, using the regular USB cable it came with. You can even plug another Android device into either of the full-sized USB slots and transfer files with much greater speed than WiFi.
2 SD slots (one full size, the other Micro) can allow you to bump the 32GB up to 64 or even 96, (or higher if you want to spend $$). That kind of option is great.
Tablet comes with "office" software that while limited, can read/write standard (older) Office docs, a file explorer, and a few other nifty touches.
I've trusted Asus for years for their motherboards and other hardware, and this tablet was my first choice. It's a worthy purchase if you're looking for a tablet. -
"Good Tablet Good price"
on by regnilsnugPros Price, Performance, Screen Brightness, HDMI port and SD card slot. I have had no problems with performance. Video play back with audio play back though Ford SYNC system is good. Bulk of the unit is good if you like heavy solid feeling devices.
Cons Bulk like the feel of knowing I am holding a solid device but will get heavy if you have to hold a long time. Price of dock or lack of inclusion with Eee pad.
Summary Very good features for price. Not the most features but not the least. Quality product and a good value. Buy this tablet with the dock and get rid of your, big bulky laptop.

"One of the best Android Tablets out there!!!"
on by cgoode80Pros large screen, super fast, beautiful display and touch screen response. Love the HDMI and SD slots. On top of that it's just a beautiful product to look at and hold in your hand. Most importantly is the price.
Cons none as of yet.
Summary For the price you just can't beat I say buy it. I switched from the Original IPad and haven't looked back. This is a great tablet for anyone looking for an alternative to the IPad or many other android tablets.

"My laptop is now obsolete."
on by benny31hillPros Great quality tablet. Screen is vibrant and jumps out at me. Performance has been flawless. The sound is great, making me feel like I'm listening to something more powerful when I crank it up a bit.
Cons I have not had a single issue so far.
Summary I don't have too much technical experience with tablets but after doing my research, this is the only tablet that jumped out at me. I opened it on Christmas Day and since then it goes everywhere with me. I was alarmed that there were no apps pre-installed but all that did was give me the opportunity to download the ones I actually wanted. I am honestly like a kid in a candy shop with this thing, Asus definitely makes a great product.
