Pros Good screen, good apps, not much left out to consider another tablet.
Cons none so far.
Summary You wont regret buying this tablet.
Pros Brilliant HD display,Expanded memory and battery life w/ keyboard dock, very sexy design and build quality, a full generation ahead of any other tablets on the market, and guaranteed to receive Ice Cream Sandwich.
Cons Virtually none for the tablet itself. The $150 additional price tag for the dock is a bit steep but the added functionality make it more valuable than most tablet accessories.
Summary Android Honeycomb is easily the most competent mobile OS on the market as it is. The added horsepower of the Tegra 3 really allows the Asus Transformer Prime to outshine all of the competition. Presumably the Prime will be among the first tablets running Ice Cream Sandwich as well. The short demo of ICS on the device really put it on a pedestal above the competition as well, with the fluid 3D transitions alone.
From the solid build quality and well thought out design choices, to the cutting edge tech that provides a buttery smooth experience on the platform, the Asus Transformer Prime is the tablet to envy this holiday season.
Pros A ten hour battery??? I found that I could do even better by tweaking the settings. Leave the Bluetooth off and set the screen brightness to 50% and my battery power was still at 53% after 8 1/2 hours of use. Movies stream from flawlessly.
Cons Like all tablets, handle with care. The glass is tough, but because of its size it can be twisted and bent more easily than smaller size screens. If you sit on it or drop it, Good Bye Tablet.
Summary If this is your only computer, get the Dock, otherwise it may be an expensive accessory. A 32GB micro sd card is a wiser purchase.
Pros Light; Beautiful; Fast; Super features (MicroSD, MicroHDMI). Well built and robust. Nice feel - dosn't feel cheap. Scratch resistent although a fingerprint ultra-magnet. Smooth OS. Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) is nice although limited.
Cons When assessing email via HTML, i.e. Yahoo or Gmail, the system stumbles. The included browser isn't recognized by many websites. ICS is a nice OS but it is limited compared to Apple's IOS. As stated above, fingerprint magnet champion.
Summary Regardless of the minor flaws this is a less expensive alternative to the iPad although the operability is behind the iPad by a bit at this juncture.
I purchased this item because I had a computer built while stationed in Taegu, Korea 10 years ago and it had a excellent ASUS motherboard and I've purchased two ASUS laptops since. Superb products from ASUS and this Droid based tablet doesn't fail.
I purchased the original iPad for my wife(since given to my daighter) and I loved everything about it except the lack of Flash. The OS of the iPad is clearly superior to ICS but price differential, lightweight and the excellent features of the Transformer Prime - makes this a viable alternative.
Pros Great screen
Cons Nothing worthing mentioning
