"Solid build and stylish design but plagued with bugs"3.5 starson by XSYLUS
Pros: Solid build, stylish design, not too heavy /not too light. MicroSD slot, microHDMI. Very responsive and functional.
Cons: Plagued with both hardware and software issues. Volume and power buttons are too close together IMO. The charging port is not in the most convenient place. Plenty of room for improvement. Overpriced by a mile.
Summary: This was my first experience with an Android tablet and I must say I was a bit underwhelmed. The biggest annoyance was that it would shut itself completely off when idle or sometimes just when being gently placed on a desk or bed. I don't know if the issue is hardware or software based but I had to return it for a replacement. Not a good first impression. Based on what I've read in forums these units are plagued with bugs which is rediculous. Why would any company release a product trying to compete with the iPAD without making sure their product worked well? There's absolutely no reason these units should be plagued with as many issues as they are. If I wasn't so against Apple's politics I'd probably get an iPAD just because I'd have a whole lot more confidence that it would actually work like it's supposed to. If I wanted bugs I'd go to a freakin' bait shop. These units are overpriced. If they were a real solid competition with the iPAD as far as quality and functionality then I could see the price tag being justified but you can't sell me junk for the same price as the iPAD that's just unacceptible and doesn't speak well for your company or how much your company really cares about its consumers. Hopefully when I get my replacement TF101 it won't be as glitchy as the first but I'm not getting my hopes up too much. I'm glad I waited and didn't pay full price for my tablet though.
