"A very usable tablet for the price"4.0 starson by dcs33ad
Pros: Price, versatility, able to add up to 16 (not 32) gigabytes of memory with micro SD. Coby's website has good video tutorials for the Kyros.
Cons: Apps library freezes up. It really does take the end of a paper clip to reset tablet. Has to be within 300 ft of router or Wi-Fi source.
Summary: A word about the resistive screen: use a stylus or the end of your fingernail to tap; use the flat of your finger to scroll. There is simply nothing else out there for this price that does everything this tablet can do. The 4 gigabyte ipod does not have expandable memory, and it costs more. This tablet is small enough to carry conveniently and large enough to view pictures and videos without eye strain. Odd comment, cnet, about the screen looking as though it's underwater; it's an intentional decorative effect that's only on the home screen. The Kyros undoubtedly does not perform like a Kindle or an IPad, but it was not a waste of my money, either. I can easily check and reply to emails, check my calendar and notes, download and read books, listen to music, browse through my favorite pictures, play some games, and more. Have had no difficulty with the operating system.
