    on by abshire1

Pros Size is nice, smells new

Cons Total piece of crap.. Does not load basic apps, every app i load something wrong with it. Slow to load web pages. Spend the extra dough and get an ipad, had an ipod and it is way better than android os and this crap

  • "Can't even come close to it for the price"
    on by calibishop

Pros Android OS, easily upgradable, Price, included eBook reader, Supports HD, 4GB internal memory, miniSD support up to 16GB more

Cons Battery life, Screen could be more responsive, no GPS or Camera

Summary I got this for my birthday and ended up buying another one less then a week later for my girlfriend. I have been aboard the Android train since the G-1 on T-Mobile first introduced it to us. I had been out look at an alternative to buying an iPad and was looking at eBook readers. When I saw this on sale at the local superstore I went to go check it out. I was astounded what you got for the price. I was so impressed that I went and bought another for a gift within a week. It does NOT come with Google Marketplace pre-installed but with a few web searches I found a website that had a complete walk thru on how to root the tablet and install the Google Marketplace. Yes the screen is not as responsive as my Samsung Galaxy phone but it was $50 dollar less then I pad for it. I was using it at a family function and compared it side by side to my sisters iPad and it worked twice as fast just browsing the internet. I showed her how I could install whatever I wanted from the Google marketplace. We both started installing Angry Birds and before she was done installing the same program on hers I was already on Level 3. I would purchase this product again and again. for $150 you can't go wrong.

  • "Product is rubbish, service even worse"
    on by PaulAmsterdam1

Pros which? It only looks good, that is it.

Cons Cannot get any decent App for it,pretty useless.
Battery konked out within 4 weeks, it took them 3 months to respond to repeated requests for assistance and that was unhelpful and downright rude. Useless company with rubbish products.

    Summary Buy Samsung.

  • "I am very happy with my coby kyros7024"
    on by realsis

Pros In just three days of having my coby I got these services up and running like a charm, google talk, my g mail, the android maret , google maps, kindle, and yes I got the coby to run netflix perfectly. I think the video is crisp and clean. I'm impressed w

Cons This can be a pro or a con but id say it comes as a blank slate. Meaning it is up to you to install the services into the tablet. This is not necessaery a negative thing! The more you know, the more the tablet will do. Some research is required.

Summary I'm very happy with this tablet! I got all google services working well, I can watch movies on netflix, I send and receive my email, I can get music and all the fun things on this tablet. Its fast and solid and I love the convienant side menu that lights up for fast access. This tablet is a steal! I'm very happy I choose coby kyros 7024. There is a lot of online support for this tablet. I would definently recomend this tablet to everyone who wants a quality tablet under 200. Dollars! It will do just about anything you program it to do. Its been wonderful and I did not even has to root the tablet to get the services!I'm very happy with the proformance and quality of the tablet!

  • "Great Tablet - Lots Of Value W/O Spending A Fortune!"
    on by inhumans99

Pros - Surprisingly responsive resistive touch screen.
    - More often than not, you will find yourself not needing to use the plastic stylus that is included.
    - When wearing decent headphones (I use inexpensive Sony cans), the sound is nice.
    - Plays mo

Cons - Had issues with Slacker (lots of force close messages pop-up, so I gave up on Slacker, although it downloads fine)
    - Browser takes you to mobile versions of many popular web-site
    - Because multi-touch / pinch to zoom is not supported, zooming in on

Summary Despite the cons, this tablet does just enough of what I need it to do to make it well worth the money I spent (less than $158 after adding a mico sb 16 gig card). Since I would prefer not to spend another several hundred dollars to get some of the features I cannot take advantage of with this device, I am more than happy to declare that many of the cons are not deal-breakers.

Bottom-line - a value priced tablet that makes a great starter tab (buy it, play with it for a while, and if you find that you are using this tablet, with it's limitations, constantly---then use it enough to squeeze enough value out of it before you upgrade to a superior tablet (android or otherwise).
