"The worst computer I have ever owned."

0.5 stars  | on by BobinBoston

Pros

None. Dell won't even honor its commitments for the abysmal performance of this computer.

Cons

Non-responsive, s-l-o-w performance; performance is so slow and touchscreen so non-responsive this is useless even for surfing or running basic MS Office programs.

Summary

Truly the worst computer I ever bought or used. Such weak performance it shouldn't even be called a computer - "brick" would be more descriptive. Underpowered in every way. Truly the worst computer I ever bought or used. Such weak performance it shouldn't even be called a computer - "brick" would be more descriptive. Underpowered in every way. Between the lack of power and the non-responsive touchscreen, this computer is useless even for basic functions and surfing the web. I wouldn't even give it to my kids as a toy computer. Dell will not stand behind it and honor its commitments, even when the computer does not perform as was originally represented. I've purchased a hundred Dell laptops, desktops, servers and storage units. This is the last Dell I will ever purchase. Anyone can make a terrible computer, but Dell's failure to acknowledge that and stand behind the device has turned me off to ever buying anything from Dell ever again.

"Excellent Windows 7 tablet for work or play"

4.5 stars  | on by jadziapax

Pros

Lightweight multitasker with most of the features needed for productive work day, music, reading, and research. Added a keyboard and is a terrific notepad for meetings and travel. Excellent battery life - approximately 6 hours.

Cons

Only 1 USB
Stylus acts up a bit; takes a bit to learn to use efficiently

I bought this from Dell on impulse while purchasing new home system. I was waiting on Samsung prices to drop but I had an upcoming work trip so I bought the Latitude ST from the Dell Outlet. Mostly use for remote connection to work but it has exceeded my expectations. Easy to travel with, reliable, and great for reading pdf and other work papers. Have fully installed Office 2010 and the tablet handles large spreadsheets and scientific computational work easily.
