"Great for a starter Tablet, bad for a long-term device."2.5 starson by snowaeris
Pros: Plays all my music, movies, games, and is great for reading books. It has all the capabilities of a Kindle, but without all the confining menus.
Cons: The hardware seems faulty. Do your research because MANY people have had problems with this unit concerning issues of charging, battery life, device shutting off, etc. I will say having to call Technical Support is a con, but at least they help.
Summary: When I first got this thing, I fell in love. As any young adult might do, I loaded it with tons of apps. It ended up crashing a couple of times, which only caused me to need to hard reset. No big deal - just lost high scores in games. It plays all my music, my movies (even in .avi format), and I can get all my books, magazines, and even comics on it. Unfortunately, it for some reason decided that it wouldn't turn on. After quite a bit of troubleshooting with Tech on the phone, he ended up having me mail it back for a replacement. Since then, the replacement has been amazing. I have very little problems except the occasional reboot until just last week - my unit decided to no longer charge. I tried it in numerous outlets, with numerous plugs, cords, chargers, and even with my Dell-specific Car Charger, but nothing. Finally frustrated, I called Tech and they had me troubleshoot, which again, didn't work. After deciding it must be hardware issue, they are having me send it back AGAIN. So ... since December, I will be on my 3rd one. Don't get me wrong, it's a great product, but from the reviews I have read in other forums, these seem to be VERY common problems. Here's to hoping 3rd times a charm.
