"Screen easily prone to cracks, the LCD below the glass"
1.0 starson by notinterestedpartyPros: It is currently one of the only devices that will allow Android users to make a phone call.
Cons: short falls result in cracks in the LCD that lies below the gorilla glass. Dell will not repair it & considers the damage "out of warranty" They will charge you more than the device is worth to replace it. Dell support will not return your calls.
Summary: No matter what you like about this device, once the screen starts to crack and bleed the entire device becomes totally unusable. It is a touch screen after all. The desktop software they tried to deploy with these was so bad they just stopped supporting it altogether. No more desktop backup. Dell is not the company it used to be. Support for this device will be one piece of misinformation after another. Sales staff are American based. Once they have your money all types of support calls will likely be routed to foreign call centers that are not at all happy to hear from you. They are consistently missing upgrade dates for their Android versions. This would not be a problem if they ever released the latest versions of Android. Currently their competitor devices are using Honeycomb, while Dell is stuck on Froyo for this device while their Mini 5 is still stuck on the Donut.
Sorry The Dell Streak Mini 5 makes calls. This device does not make phone calls.
