"Good overall laptop, poor tablet" on by gkantz
Pros: Lots of features and functionality for the money
Cons: Tablet features are poor; battery life pathetic
Summary: This laptop has a ton of great features - AMD Turion X2 processor, huge 250GB HD, 2GB RAM, webcam, touchscreen with stylus, very compact. However, be forewarned. It is not being touted as a "tablet PC" and rightfully so. It may have tablet functionality, but without a WACOM-enabled screen the tablet performance is very poor. If you fiddle around with sensitivity controls you may see some improvement, but it pales in comparison to the likes of the tc4400. I suppose that's what you get at this price point, but I was hoping for at least a bit of decent tablet functionality. This just doesn't cut it. Also, the battery life is very poor - mine only lasted about an hour. To improve on battery you must lower screen brightness, shut off WIFI and perhaps remove the DVD Drive. Not a good thing.
However if both of these problems weren't present, I'd be tempted to give this thing a 10 out of 10 with everything else you get out of the box.
