Pros Ports. I now really want a stylus for my Android phone. It works a dream, and the handwriting recognition and new, growing (in number and quality) note-taking apps are pretty amazing. Between the stylus and the keyboard, it's an input monster.
Cons GPS firmware, but folks at XDA are working on it. I doubt they are working on it at Lenovo. Bright screen in the dark: there is no black. The tab lags. It's not CPU lag, and it seems to manage RAM just fine; it's just, well, relaxed. Cameras O_o.
Summary If I had a student going into college, or if I were one, this is the tab I'd want. Grab your favorite PDF editor and a good note-taking app that exports to PDF, and you *so* don't need a laptop. Just drawing with the stylus is at least worth a try (search Market for "Infinite"). It'll take a good drop or two, too. I really love the hardware, and it works solidly enough, but Lenovo's firmware (the cameras, the GPS, the weird lag) isn't impossible, but sub-par, though completely contrary with how well the stylus and handwriting recognition work. I'm looking forward to what hackers can do with it, as could some focused IT pros. I'm (still) very glad I got it, and would recommend it for people who are more about substance and ability than glitz. It's a Jeep.
