"Great tablet, ridiculously overpriced." on by Tran1579
Pros: 1. Comfortable to hold
2. Lightweight
3. Well built (does not feel cheap like a samsung tablet)
4. Good speed
5. Screen looks great
6. LTE speedsCons: 1. Overpriced with 2 year commitment. $529 for 16GB + 720 (the 2 year contract) = $1249!!! Honestly, how many times are you unable to find a wifi spot?
2. New Android tablets are already coming out with quad core processorsSummary: Please go to Verizon wireless and try it out, and tell them as I did that LTE speed is great, but the tablet should be MUCH MUCH cheaper for having a 2 year contract. The device itself is a great alternative to the ipad 2, however, unless LTE is an absolute must there are much better options now and definitely in the upcoming months.

"There's no reason to buy this over an iPad." on by GatorDave45
Pros: Hardware is thin and light.
8.2" is a nice size.
4G network speeds are incredible.Cons: Operating system locks up and restarts at least once a week.
Dearth of tablet-optimized Android apps.
Hardware buttons are in a bad spot and can't be used without looking at them.
Performance is laggy.
Battery life on 4G is not great.
Price.Summary: The hardware, buttons aside, is really quite good. I suspect that this will be a terrific table if it gets stock Ice Cream Sandwich. The 8.2" screen is both noticeably larger than a 7" tablet while also noticeably smaller than an iPad. Both of those are good things, by the way. It's a good size for a tablet.
The software is where it breaks down. Android Honeycomb just isn't good. The thing locks up and reboots at least once a week, and more than that if I use it more often. The paucity of good, tablet-optimized Android apps makes the problem even worse. Even if you can overlook the third party app problems, there has to be some other Android tablet out there that doesn't crash on a weekly basis.
I might tell someone to get one of these based on the hope of ICS, but not at the prices it's being offered at. $429.99 is pretty steep given it requires a contract, and $600 off contract is ridiculous given the iPad's prices. The third gen iPad is better in every way no matter how you slice it, and it's just $30 more for the same specs (16GB, 4G networking).
With a lower price and ICS, this thing has a chance. As it is now, forget it.

"Complete DROID experience, but overpriced..." on by aSiriusBee
Pros: - screen
- fast (4G LTE)
- sound
- well-built
- light enough to hold w/ one hand (ebook readers will rejoice)Cons: - price
- batterySummary: I am impressed with how incredibly light, fast it is and I really light the bright screen; the colors and clarity is just awesome! $429 if you go with the 2-yr agreement; $599 if you just want wifi. And the price for the 32 GB tablet? Don't even THINK about it! Verizon is known for overpricing their products, so I'm not surprised at the price. They might reduce the price later, but don't count on it. I don't think they're trying to compete with any of the other tablets. This tablet seems to be marketed toward "DROID" users; those who want the whole docking & MOTOCAST experience. If you have a Droid phone & tablet, you can sync those 2 all day long w/ your PC or Mac. So you can see how this would be great for business users. Plus, you get the 10.1" experience with a 8.2" screen.
