"This Tablet Is Amazing! Is CNET actually opening these?"
4.5 starson by craig1211Pros: Light Thin Added Micro SD Card Stereo Speakers FRONT FIRE - Imagine! Fast Screen still up there with all the others. I have tried to love IPAD's 1, 2 and the 3 whatever.
Cons: Nothing except 30 updated models will be out next month! TAB 2 rated poor by CNET for Dual Core and a host of other untruths. Did you even test it? It smokes! Because of poor review I bought "The Best Android Tablet" - CNET The Transformer Prime!
Summary: CENET. you need real world reviews on info and specs foind on the interent. Forget "Benchmarks" Is it fast, easy to use in hand? Does it do what it is supposed to do? Its all a numbers game - Just like in all of electronics. Think of Dual then Quad Core and beyond as the new "Megapixel" marketing scam cameras suffered! I own a MacBook Air 2011 and hoped to keep the IPAD but they scam you by disabling GPS in the WiFi only version forcing you into higher priced models where they get carrier kickbacks! You fanboys must be loaded!! I use my tablets in a work seeting and light media consumption at home. I am on the road a lot and wanted reliable GPS and WiFi. Unless you drop north of $630 for a 16GB IPAD PLUS pay for more mobile data monthly you cant get any GPS on an IPAD, its also far to heave for reading a book - So I turned to CNET reviews and The Transformer Prime. I read tails of problems but A BB employee told me they had held production on the Asus to fix GPS WiFi issues. So I bought one the other night. Guess what Asus fixed the problem by removing GPS as a feature! Yes folks its still in the unit and will work about 10% of the time for a lock but It is defective out of the box because the aluminum back still cuts the WiFi signal and totally KILLS GPS!
So, I deside to switch to the $399 Samsung Tab 2 that CNET says is a step backwards and just awful and the color and the brightness suck so what do I get for just $399? Flawless performance, I dont have to pay $100.00 for the $6.00 worth of 16GB memory because it has an expansion slot And (this is huge), they had cases for them!
HEY CNET I saw your "In Depth" interview with Asus today where they report they cant and wont ever fix the Transformer and claim the coming replacment T700 is not a replacmet, you gonna keep that 4 Star Higest rated crap going forever?
One last this, I tried the 399 Asus 300, it is a nice unit but it seems your hand covers the single speaker on the back - poor placement. Also after remving no less than 3 crazy "Sync" programs from my day with the prime, I dont want the added haasle. Plus - You guessed it - No cases!
