"Great tablet and super user friendly for women"
4.0 starson by lenlexPros: Portable, screen resolution, customizable screens
Cons: No USB port, expensive, Gorilla Glass holds fingerprints
Summary: This is the tablet I've been waiting for. I do a lot of business travel, I blog, and volunteer with several non-profits. I also prefer to read magazines and newspapers online.
For years, I vacillated over which netbook to purchase because I needed something powerful and portable. I checked out the iPad (and I actually use a work issued one) I feel like it was designed for men. It feels rather clunky and large in my hands plus it's kinda heavy.
I'm so glad that I waited for the Galaxy 8.9 Tablet. It's lightweight and can fit in most average size handbags. I really like the screen resolution and having multiple customizable screens. I'm not a big apps fiend and truthfully, many of the most popular apps are available on Android as well. I plan to purchase the Samsung keyboard so that I use this write.
In terms of cons, this tablet is really expensive given the market demand for smaller tablet pcs. Luckily, I was able to negotiate a package deal for a Samsung phone and this tablet at a reasonable price. Otherwise, I may have waited another year to purchase it or considered an Asus tablet instead. Also, a USB port would have been good.
Lastly, the so-called "Gorilla Glass" on the Galaxy Tab seems to hold fingerprints and smugs far more than the iPad. But, I understand that the Galaxy Tab screen is less likely to break/crack if it falls. I don't plan to test that hypothesis however :-)
Overall, I recommend the Galaxy Tablet 8.9 - especially for women business travelers or anyone who desires a smaller tablet that rivals the power of the iPad.
