  • "Absolute iPad Killer, must have device!!!"

Pros: adobe flash 10.1, think free office (which means word, excel, and powerpoint), android apps, camera's, and I have heard that you can download an emulator and run old nintendo and sega games on it.

Cons: battery life and fingerprint magnet

Summary: You don't buy a car that can only drive on certain roads at a certain speed, or only compatible with manufacturer's accessories. So why would you buy a tablet that will only perform the functions the manufacturer allows it to (Apple iPad), with Samsung's android based tablet you are limited to your creativity! The device will do anything the hardware and operating system can handle, and with a 1GHz processor, Powervr SGX540 Graphics Card, 512MB RAM... well you have a lot of capabilities!!!

I use it to browse the web (full desktop browsing with Dolphin HD), check e-mail, read pdf files, read kindle books, stay in touch with social media, and perform various school functions (excel and powerpoint).... Hands down an amazing device!!!!!

I would like to comment that if you truly intend for your tablet to be portable and on the go with you at all times 7"-8" is the MAX. a 10" tablet is amazing to have around the house to play with, but you can't put that thing on your person, you have to have a briefcase or backpack to carry it. The 7" size of the Galaxy Tab is perfect as it allows it to be portable, I put it in my back pocket or coat pocket and I'm off! There is not way I could throw an iPad in my pocket or coat, and if I'm carry a backpack to lug it around then I may as well throw a netbook in there.
