    "The Dash Is a Lobotomized IPOD Touch" on by spatula123

    Pros: Pros
    Easy internetconnectivity
    Large screen
    Bright screen

    Cons: No Browser; limiting user to Sony defined sites

    Summary: Once again Sony got close, but no cigar. The lack of a browser means I still need to utilize my notebook or smartphone to check e-mail or to surf the web: It would have been ever so simple for Sony to have included this feature: My unit was returned to Bestbuy: I will purchase an audio base for my IPOD Touch and use it on my bedstand: The Dash is a product one can do without; its price point is ridiculous when measure against provided features: What is its design niche?
    If I wanted a digital picture frame I would have acquired one; it is not a portable MP3 player; it is an alarm clock/ news headline briefer?
    Big deal!

    "Great and handy device for the home" on by drdimick

    Pros: Chumby apps work great, instant wireless weather, slacker etc

    Cons: Poor speaker, bought HP netbooks speakers for fantastic audio

    Summary: Easy to auto update right out of the box, Sony website makes configuration a breeze, Click and add at the site to bring another Dash online. Compatible with Chumby applications.

    "Its the best alarm clock ever!" on by Changaell

    Pros: * Big bright Display.
    * Can check weather without watching tv or turning my laptop on.
    * Great internet Radio stations= Pandora and Slacker.
    *

    Cons: * No Browser
    * Not ipod compatible.
    * no Batteries

    Summary: I've had mine since 6/16 when my wife got it for me. The alarm fuction is awesome the weater and sport headlines are pretty sweet.

    I had no problem setting mine up and since the latest firmware upgrades the channels update pretty quickly. As a bedside media station the only gripe I have is no ipod compatibility like the other chumbys. Can't have it all I guess.
    Hopefully it will become available soon.

    Pros. that couldn't fit above:Can access facebook and youtube without my computer.
    * Can play mp3 from a non-ipod player
    * Looks sexy in my bedroom and on my night stand!

    "A good start for a device that could mature into a must" on by mbranca

    Pros: Descent integration of services.
    Descent look and feel.

    Cons: Horrible speaker system.
    Touch screen response is merely adequate.

    Summary: A descent start for a device that could be a killer must have if it
    can refine some of it's lesser parts and augment it's offerings and
    maintain or lower it's price point.

    "An awesome producet, with lots of room to improve" on by mdntcallr

    Pros: nice desktop mini web device.
    sounds cute and works well

    Cons: lots of way improve
    1- add SIRIUS / XM client
    2- add Slingbox Client
    3- have larger size better screen
    4- get better sounding speakers
    5- have better audio output and linkns to stereo equipment, tv. ie let it control your blu-ray player or more.

    Summary: this is a killer box, but needs better output for stereo systems and for more programs for it to work with.
