  • "LOVE It! Great 7" Tablet"
    5.0 stars
    on by rdturner127

Pros: Fast. Honeycomb and the 1280 x 800 pixel screen make it pretty and easy to use. Movies look simply beautiful on it's display. Also, can't beat the 4G for downloading movies, Web surfing or GPS.

Cons: Pricing is a bit ridiculous. While you may pay $179 up front if you're a first-time T-mo subscriber, you'll wind up paying more than $400 for this tablet in the end at $10 more a month. The camera isn't anything to write home about either.

Summary: This device does everything a tablet should do write. Apps open quickly and perform nicely. The Honeycomb UI is smooth and very customizable. The screen is beautiful. Movies look great on the Springboard. And, while the sound isn't anything to write home about, it's at least decent. While it comes loaded with T-mobile branded software such as TelNav, Zino magazine reader, Slacker radio and doubleTwist, most of it is at least helpful. Since I really prefer 7" tablets because they are easier to stuff into a purse or type on with both hands, I like the size, weight and feel of the Springboard. It's got a solid build, albeit minimalist. Plus, it can go a whole workday on a single charge, which is a vast improvement over the Dell Streak 7 I just got rid of.
